About Us

Cassie has a Bachelors of Science in Diagnostic Ultrasound and brings extensive sales and marketing experience to the team. She started in the human world working in a hospital but her passion for animals drove her to find a way to utilize her skills WHILE being involved with animals.  She now teaches veterinary ultrasound to veterinarians across the country. She has also been know to rescue animals wherever she travels…you never know what will show up in her car, garage or backpack.  She just can’t turn a blind eye when it comes to an animal in need! In her spare time she works with local rescues in her home state of California, where she takes in orphaned bottle baby kittens and raises two teenagers who follow after her love for animals.

Berkley’s passion for animals started at a very young age following in her dads footsteps in Iowa where he would always help animals that showed up at the farm. He always said the animals have a hard enough life without humans making it harder. 

Since then Berkley has volunteered and fostered for several large rescues in the Chicagoland area and served on the board for several of them. She has run over 50 marathons raising money to help various 501c3’s. She also is the co-founder of One love Foundation Inc which helps the animals and rescue foundations in Aruba. 

During the day Berkley sells medical software for cardiology so she has an extensive background in sales and marketing besides her extensive animal welfare experience. She is passionate about the human animal bond and helping in times of need to keep animals with their humans

Breann is a pioneer in the natural pet food industry. As a founder and owner of Grandma Lucy's, she has passionately improved wellness for dogs and cats through quality of food. Since starting the pet food company in 1999, Breann and her husband, Eric, have been revolutionizing the industry's approach to pet food. It all started from a passion to create a healthy diet for their dog Lucy. She was not just a dog, she was their fur baby and deserved the very best. They continue to share this passion with pets worldwide and remain family owned and operated making all of their award-winning food recipes in small batches in the company's Rancho Santa Margarita, CA facility. 

Healthy food is life changing for pets and Breann is committed to bringing healthy food to as many dogs and cats as possible so they can live the long and healthy life they deserve with their person because families come in all shapes and sizes.

Milan was born with a love for animals so it’s no surprise she enrolled as a student to become a Veterinary Technician. She began fostering at the young age of 14 through local rescues and foundations and enjoys the challenge of saving abandoned kittens that require round-the-clock bottle feeding. She’s always the first one to root for the underdog and has an infinity towards special needs animals. She has a deep bond with her pets and embodies the Locks 4 Paws mission of the importance of keeping pets with their people.

Alex found a love for volunteering early on at a very young age. Combining her love of dogs and her experience in having a brother with Autism, she had a dream to start her own non-profit to work with service and therapy dogs that provide support and freedoms for people with special needs. A dream that she accomplished in 2022. Her passion for animals and their wellbeing, made her an obvious choice to join our team and support the partnership between Grandma Lucy’s non-profit Project Pet RAK and Locks 4 Paws.
